Her story

Angelita Pritchett

Helping people find their way home—to themselves.

MSW, LCSW

My healing journey has never followed a single path, and that's exactly how healing works.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), author, Reiki Master, educator, and founder of The Wellness Collective and Sacred Compass. For more than two decades, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationships, and life's many transitions.

My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and neuroscience. At the same time, I believe healing isn't just something we understand intellectually—it's something we experience. That's why I thoughtfully weave reflection, ritual, symbolism, creativity, nature, and intentional daily practices into my work whenever they align with a client's values and goals.

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to help shape the future of mental healthcare beyond the therapy room. I've worked with several innovative virtual mental health startups, contributing to the development of accessible, technology-driven models of care. Those experiences gave me a unique perspective on how technology can expand access to quality mental health support while reminding me that meaningful healing is always rooted in authentic human connection.

I also had the honor of being part of, and publishing with, the Missouri Quality Initiative (MOQI), sharing practical clinical insights with fellow professionals. Teaching and mentoring have always been important to me because knowledge becomes more powerful when it's shared.

Perhaps the most personal influence on my work is my own journey with ADHD.

Like many people, I spent years trying to force myself into systems that weren't built for the way my brain works. Instead of fighting against it, I became curious. I began experimenting with rituals, visual reminders, movement, journaling, environmental design, mindfulness, and small intentional practices—not as abstract concepts, but in my own daily life.

In many ways, Sacred Compass grew from those experiments.

I became my first student.

I discovered that lasting change rarely comes from dramatic life overhauls. More often, it grows through small moments of intention repeated with compassion over time.

That philosophy now guides everything I create.

Whether I'm providing therapy, leading a workshop, offering a Crystal Message reading, teaching Dance Fitness, writing, or developing new resources, my goal is always the same: to help people reconnect with themselves and discover practical ways to create meaning in everyday life.

Today, I'm expanding that mission through Sacred Compass—a growing collection of books, workshops, journals, courses, and community experiences designed to blend science, spirituality, and intentional living into something both approachable and deeply personal.

Because healing isn't about becoming someone else.

It's about finding your way home to who you've been all along.
